mission statement

The Qi Center of Maryland was created to provide clear instruction in the art, science, and theory of qigong to all levels of students-practitioners and those who aspire to become qigong teachers.

We specialize in qigong for health, healing, and spiritual cultivation. We welcome students with all levels of experience. We evaluate prior qigong training and related experience to provide guidance and appropriate instruction for completion of all levels of the certification program.

qigong instructor certification program

Qigong Practitioner Certification: 100 hours of formal qigong training recognizes an individual’s commitment towards the training and practice of qigong.

Level I Qigong Instructor Certification: 200 hours of formal qigong training qualifies an individual to teach and promote basic qigong principles and forms.

Level II Advanced Qigong Instructor Certification: 350 hours of formal qigong training acknowledges a more in depth understanding of qigong principles and forms, with the ability to teach from this perspective.

taiji quan instructor certification program

Traditional Yang Style Taiji Quan Instructor Certification: Formal recognition of competent training, practice and ability to teach traditional Yang style taiji quan.

qigong & taiji Quan classes

The Qi Center of Maryland offers qigong, taiji quan, and meditation classes and workshops at various locations throughout Columbia, Ellicott City, and Baltimore, MD. Generally the qigong and taiji quan courses run 8-10 weeks and, depending on location, fees are approximately $15 per class. Refer to individual websites above for class specifics.
